Ramblings 2

Ramblings 2

Oh so many things that are confusing; where did God come from? Where did Cain’s wife come from? How long would it take to count all the grains of sand on a single beach? Why do we still have Apes? How come some critters were supposed to have evolved while others just decided to stay the same forever? The obvious is oblivious to many much, if not all, of the time. Rivers flow on and on and though their levels rise and fall, seldom do they quit flowing. Why is the sun able to burn without end for the amount of time it is capable of? The ability of the sun to warm the earth with the intensity that it does; why is it just the right distance away? We know that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction; what if there wasn’t?
In days of old, man had many wives and concubines, when was it decided that this was wrong and by whom was it decided? Why do some creatures mate for life while others do not? How can a dog or cat, for example, go so sound asleep so quickly, yet wake so easily? Why do so many folks that claim to believe in Jesus, find themselves not following his words; yet think that they are right while everyone else is wrong; even if the way they act goes against everything that Jesus taught? Why did the speed of sound and light settle for the velocity that they did; why not faster or slower?
Like I said so many confusing things. The list is endless. I’m not sure why I think about these things, I just do. We spend a lifetime studying and learning and then we die. So why do we bother? We can say that all we need is something to eat and drink and some shelter from the elements. Yet if this was good enough we would all still be cave dwellers. We would never have learned anything because eating, drinking, and staying dry and warm would have been good enough.
Each of us is a complexity of movement that is never satisfied; all at varying degrees of difference. What is it that drives some to do a thing while others could care less about that particular thing?
Now then, we come to the reason why certain people have to fix things that are not broken. They are willing to sacrifice all to change things just for the sake of change. Usually these people have a very high intolerance for the thoughts or suggestions of others. Most times it’s like a man trying to reason with a Payloader that has its engine at maximum throttle, whether the Payloader hears the man’s words or not is irrelevant, it just keeps on ploughing and gouging away as long as it has fuel and someone to operate it, all the while showing total indifference to the man’s voice of reason.
All of the great learned people of the world owe their great wisdom to the same school of thought. It must be that way, for it would appear that all of the schools of higher learning are teaching roughly the same thing. And it must have changed in the last thirty years, dramatically. The first and foremost steadfast rule must be to think one’s self to be much better than the next person. The second, to exhibit no sign of, in fact eradicate, common sense. Consider it a meaningless form of logic. The third is to become exactly like the high revving Payloader. And forth, call themselves managers.
Today’s manager, for the most part, for there is the exception to the rule, is exactly the opposite of what they should be. Here I must be careful, for if I say there is an exception to the rule, every manager will consider him or her self that shinning example of the exception. Let me be more clear. There are a few good and thoughtful managers. They are like hens teeth, but they are out there….somewhere. To be the exception means they are somewhat like a person trying to fly a helicopter and do the fandango at the same time. But they do exist.
They give out generous raises to there employees of .05% per year while knowing that the cost of the benefit program for example is going to cost the employee another 5% for the same year. Not to mention the fact that the cost of living raises by at least 5%, most times more, for that same year.
Then to make matters even more deplorable, these great folks of intellect, give themselves at least a 10% raise (because they are so much more important than a lowly employee) plus a huge bonus at Christmas time. All the while they pat one and other on the back congratulating themselves on a huge profit year. Thinking all the time that the lowly employee with so little education, you know, the people who actually get the work done, are too dumb to figure this all out.
In the mean time, perhaps they are right because nothing seems to change. But it will change at some point because it can’t continue the way that it is.
Say it was a car company that was pulling this type of go behind every year type of thinking. Who is it that buys the cars I wonder? If these folks continue to go behind every year compared to the cost of living, soon they won’t buy the cars any more. Then what? I know, the managers can all get jobs for other companies telling them how to fix their problems, the only thing is, they will have to be paid more than before. After all, their type of service is worth it.
Perhaps it is all a plot to win a war without firing a shot. The objective being to buy up all the land and all the companies, only to have them all go bankrupt. Hire all the greatest minds, pay them well to fail, to ensure success. It would appear well on its way.
Yes there are many many things that boggles the mind. What makes the average person think and accept the things they do, all the while having faith that things will get better with no change in the mindset, is the greatest mystery of all.
